Todorov (1969) Narrative Theory

 Todorov - 5 stage narrative theory.

Equilibrium -> Disruption -> Realisation -> Repair -> Restoration.
Todorov's narrative theory was created in 1969.

Film example
Drive (2011) -

Equilibrium - starts out driving against the law, from a robbery. Then his normal life as a stunt driver.
Disruption - Meets Irene and her child and spent time with them.
Realisation - He cares for them. She has a husband, and he comes back and needs help in crime to get his family back. He gets killed in a robbery.
Repair - The driver makes it up to Irene, by trying to help her get away from the place.
Restoration - The people against driver are killed by him, and Irene and her child can get away.

The Unsullied attack Casterly Rock - 
This is an example of shot reverse shot. Used within conversation to show who the character is talking to and maintains an eyeline between the two. This is an example of both shot reverse shot and eyeline matching.

This is an example of the 180-degree rule, as all the shots in the scene stick to this rule, as the characters are in a 180-degree radius. This is also a master shot; all is captured in scene.

This is an example of directional continuity, as the soldiers run through the door, and then a shot after that shows the soldiers are running through the door in the same direction, as an army.
