Camera Angles - -High angle - Used for establishing locations, or make subjects look small, diminished and weak. Or it is used for just looking down on things. -Level angle - shot at eye level, can create empathy with a character. It is a neutral shot. -Low angle - making people look tall, powerful, heroic, or intimidating. Just looking up at things also. -Dutch/Canted - Making things look strange or weird, or confusing. Can be used to suggest insanity or intoxication, or just because they look cool. -Top shot - looking straight down on a subject, but not taken from an aircraft. -Ariel Shot - usually taken from an aircraft, usually helicopters but increasingly used by drones. shows the surrounding area or a location. This example is both an ariel shot, and an establishing shot. POV shot - showing what a character is looking at or creating empathy with a character. Subjective (first person) or objective (over shoulder).
